    • Grown by Ramona Farms, an Akimel O'odham owned business located on the Gila River Indian Reservation near Sacaton, AZ. Made from heirloom Pima 60 Day Corn, an ancient corn prized for its flavor and texture. The kernels are mesquite parched and stone milled to produce this delicious ancient "fast" food used by Pima runners as they traveled from village to village carrying important news. 7 grams of protien per quarter cup!

    Mix 2-3 heaping tablespoons into an 8 oz. glass of water, juice or smoothie. Sprinkle on yogurt or cereal or in hot chocolate. Corn Pinole also makes a great coffee creamer. A nutritious, high energy snack food and excellent source of protein, fiber and carbohydrates. Enjoy!

Good but $$$

I tried this after reading about it in Born to Run. I enjoyed adding it to my smoothies and protein shakes to make them more substantial and filling. Good quality and tastes similar to popcorn. However, for the price I'm not sure if I will incorporate this into my long term routine.
